Chia Seed Oatmeal Recipe

I put them in my juice, I make pudding with them, and recently I’ve been adding some into my oatmeal. I was never a big fan of oatmeal, but since I’m trying to eat healthier, I decided to give it another try.

Oatmeal and chia seeds have many health benefits. Oatmeal contains a high source of soluble fiber, which makes it a heart-healthy food! Chia seeds are known as a super-food. It contains calcium, Omega-3, antioxidants, fiber, protein… the list is endless. Beat the Bloat: Detox Water

detox waterThose who know me really well, know that I would drink anything BUT water. It’s bad, I know. It’s just that water can be so… boring. Lately, I’ve been getting bloated really often. Not only does it make me feel heavy and sluggish, it drains my energy too. This lead me to do lots of research! Bloating is often caused by high sodium intake. Besides having to cut back on the salt, the best way to beat the bloat is to drink lots of water.

Yay me…

At first, I didn’t really get it. I’m already feeling like my stomach is about to pop, wouldn’t water make it worse? It slowly made more sense. Since I rarely drink water, but I’m constantly consuming sodium, my body is retaining water to prevent dehydration. Drinking lots of water will wash out the extra salt and other harmful toxins that build up in my body.

fruits for waterI thought fruit-infused water might spice up the blandness and help increase my water intake. At first I wasn’t a big fan of the taste either, but I’m starting to love it.
